Our Teaching Philosophy
At Naatyalahari, we cultivate a holistic learning experience grounded in traditional Bharatanatyam principles. Our curriculum seamlessly integrates shlokas and music alongside technical training, fostering a deep understanding and appreciation for this rich art form.
We are proud to be affiliated with SAMPADA and Vedic Wellness University, offering students the opportunity to pursue certification and diploma programs. Our curriculum encompasses:
- Comprehensive Foundation: We begin with a rigorous foundation in fundamental movements (adavus) and warm-up exercises, emphasizing angashuddi (purification of the body) to prepare students for the demands of Bharatanatyam.
- Nurturing All Aspects: Our classes go beyond technical proficiency, nurturing both nritta (pure dance) and abhinaya (expressive dance) through the exploration of intricate sequences, full-length dance pieces, and a deep dive into the theoretical aspects of Bharatanatyam.
- Holistic Approach: We believe in a holistic learning experience, integrating shlokas (sacred verses) and music into our teaching to enhance students' understanding and appreciation of the art form's cultural and spiritual significance.
- Catering to All Ages: We offer a comprehensive program suitable for all ages, starting from 6 years old, ensuring that each student's unique learning journey is nurtured and supported.
